NeoGraft® F.A.Q

What is NeoGraft® : Advanced Hair Transplant Technology?

NeoGraft® is an automated hair transplant system that allows for the natural harvesting of individual hair follicles via Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), resulting in a dramatically increased take rate, natural-looking results, and many happy customers worldwide.

What is “FUE” an acronym for?

FUE stands for Follicular Unit Extraction, which is a cutting-edge, minimally invasive hair transplant method requiring no scalpel or stitches. Perhaps the greatest benefit? It does not leave a scar behind.

Why choose NeoGraft® over manual FUE techniques?

NeoGraft® is synonymous with precision. The NeoGraft® system is highly ergonomic, working as an extension of the surgeon’s hand. This allows for quicker, more accurate harvesting, meaning NeoGraft® patients are in and out faster with fewer procedures needed overall.

What makes a good NeoGraft® candidate?

You may be a good candidate for NeoGraft® if you: are in good health, have moderate hair loss and sufficient donor hair available, are an athlete or anyone who wants to minimize activity restriction, are someone who is looking to cover up scars from past linear harvests.

Is NeoGraft® a good option for both men and women?

Absolutely. The NeoGraft® procedure is minimally-invasive, making it a viable option for anyone and everyone looking to restore their hair with existing donor hair.

Should I shave my head before a NeoGraft® procedure?

Not necessarily. If your donor hair is long enough, harvesting via Follicular Unit Extraction can be done by shaving a small area that can be covered up by existing hair. But if you generally wear your hair shorter, great. It helps to shave it close for maximum yield and will look more natural, sooner, as the transplanted grafts are short as well.

What is the NeoGraft® procedure like?

NeoGraft® utilizes a controlled form of pneumatic pressure to extract each individual hair graft smoothly and painlessly. This method minimizes the risk of pulling, twisting, or damaging the graft, and allows for quick re-implantation.

When do results show?

Once your harvested hair follicles are implanted into the balding area(s), the grafted hair will remain in place for 2-3 weeks before shedding. Note: Shedding is normal and an important part of the process. After shedding, the new growth will begin within 3-4 months and your hair will continue to grow normally and naturally.

How long does the new hair last?

Although NeoGraft® results are proven effective, transplantation does not cure hair loss. Some people will require continued NeoGraft® sessions to maintain desired density, particularly if the balding pattern continues with age. Your hair transplant surgeon will help to establish reasonable expectations after an initial consultation.
